TERMS OF SERVICE
1 | Fastabast Hot Laps Taxi
Fastabast Hot Laps Taxi, BG Cars and Events GmbH — herein referred to as ( the organiser ), offers race taxi or hot laps taxi, exclusive tours, and sports car rental during public events, tourist rides, and track days on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
1.1. Track rides are conducted pursuant to the track regulations and schedule, and to the program agreed upon by the organizer and customer.
1.2. Only persons older than 16 years of age can take part in Hot Laps Taxi rides. If the customer is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must provide written consent and provide a copy of their passport before the minor will be allowed to partake in any activities.
1.3. While we encourage customers to plan their rides based on the freely available ride schedule on the Nürburgring, all bookings must be planned and confirmed with the organiser.
1.4. Rides may be conducted in dry or rainy weather. During Tourist Days, the track acts as a public road subject to general traffic rules adopted in Germany. Before rides, the organiser must carry out a safety briefing ( conducted by an instructor, driving coach, or authorized person ), introducing the participants to the code of conduct on the track during rides and tourist and track days.
1.5. During the Track Days ( depending on the track day organizer’s regulations ), the roadway acts as a racing track. In this case, the track is not subject to public road regulations. Before drives on one of these track days, the organiser must carry out a safety briefing by means of a driving instructor, coach, or authorized person, introducing the participants to the code of conduct on the track during track days, before any laps are permitted.
1.6. Hot Laps Taxi cars ( otherwise referred to as ring taxis or race taxis ) are sports cars prepared exclusively for use on a race track.
1.7. A Hot Laps Taxi only serves the purpose of pleasing the client / customer, by giving them the experience of a high-performance sports car being driven by a professional. While most areas of the Nürburgring are not subject to any speed limitations, these laps do not serve the purpose of pursuing or setting current or new lap times.
1.8. A Hot Laps Taxi pilot is experienced in driving an automobile in specialized conditions on a race track. All pilots undertake to behave calmly and not expose their passengers to unnecessary risks. A ring taxi pilot may drive as fast as they can, pursuant to the conditions of the weather, business of the track, and based on the responses of the passenger ( s ). If for any reason ( medical, anxiety, etc ), a passenger requests the speed be reduced, the driver will respect such requests and slow down accordingly.
1.9. In case of any situation related to a Hot Laps Taxi accident on the track, the organiser can not be held liable for any physical damage, injury, hospitalization, loss, or death, or any further rehabilitation subsequent to these injuries. Participation in any event ( hot laps taxi, sports car rental, excursions as part of a planned tour, visit to a racing event, etc ) is undertaken of the client’s own free will, and clients accept all responsibility for any resultant injuries.
1.10. In the event of an accident, the full cost of the Hot Laps Taxi ride will be refunded.
1.11. Although the organiser highly advises the use of such, passengers are not required to wear helmets during hot lap rides, with the exception of minors ( under the age of 18 ) or in cases where a hot lap is conducted in a car with a roll cage, in which case a helmet is mandatory. The organiser can not be held liable for any injury / loss / death resulting from a passenger choosing not to wear a helmet.
1.12. Rides on tourist or track days are conducted only after receipt of 100% of the payment for services rendered.
1.13. The client must have a valid passport during rides on tourist or track days.
1.14. Rides may be recorded on a camera installed in the Hot Laps Taxi. Recordings may be used in the creation of advertising and/or promotional material for the organiser and/or sold to the customer. Cameras are not allowed to be affixed to the exterior of the Hot Laps Taxi.
2 | PAYMENT
2.1. Payment for the services must be made in full before the provision of any services rendered by the organiser. Payment may be made by any of the accepted means ( direct deposit, cash, PayPal, or card payment ). We accept EC, Mastercard, VISA, and American Express cards.
2.2. A tour / ride is booked and confirmed only once the full and final payment has cleared into the organiser’s account. Upon ordering, the confirmation of receipt and booking is sent by e-mail to the e-mail address specified by the customer. The customer undertakes to pay the amount specified in the invoice within five ( 5 ) business days from the day of receipt, with proof of payment to be sent via email. If the customer pays for the services at the organiser’s office at the Nürburgring, he / she will be issued with a receipt.
3 | CANCELING A RIDE OR TOUR
3.1. In the event of the customer canceling a booked tour / ride, the following penalties will be applicable:
- Cancellation 1+ months before the event: 15% of the order amount
- Cancellation 3-4 weeks ( 21 to 27 days ) before the event: 20% of the order amount
- Cancellation 2-3 weeks ( 14 to 20 days ) before the event: 30% of the order amount
- Cancellation 1-2 weeks ( 7 to 13 days ) before the event: 50% of the order amount
- Cancellation less than 1 week ( 0 to 6 days ) before the event: 80% of the order amount
3.2. Funds transferred as payment for gift certificates and participation in track day rides are not subject to any refund. Only upon special agreement between the organiser and the customer may rides be rescheduled for any other day.
3.3. The organiser is entitled to refuse to provide services ( hot taxi laps, sports car rental, briefing, track day, transfer, etc. ) to the customer in the following instances:
- Inappropriate customer behavior
- Customer’s ill-health ( dizziness, nausea, headache )
- Customer’s insobriety
- Customer’s wish to "rock the race" — inappropriate race track behavior
- Customer’s failure to comply with safety rules or Nürburgring regulations
- Customer’s arrogance or rudeness toward other participants
- Customer’s coarse language or gestures towards other participants
- Customer’s ignores instructors or coaches remarks
In the case of a conflict ( due to the above reasons ), the cost of a tour / ride is not subject to any refund.
4 | COMPANY / ORGANIZER
4.1. The organiser undertakes to conduct rides / tours following the program agreed upon and paid for by the customer. The ride / tour program description is given in the invoice sent to the customer.
4.2. The organiser is not held liable for bad weather, track / road surface repair, rescheduling of rides due to roadworks, changes in the track regulations, changes in the schedule of public events carried out at the expense of the Nürburgring, accidents on the track ( in which case the track is regularly closed for a period of 1-2 hours ), the clients’s resultant physical and emotional state after drives ( dizziness, nausea, headache, joint pain, heart conditions, spinal conditions, poor reaction time, etc ), or any other pre-existing or resultant health conditions. Furthermore, the organiser is indemnified from any services beyond the organiser’s responsibilities / control, those which are not included in services paid for by the client. Additional services ( hot laps taxi, car rental, extra laps, hotel / airport transfer, accommodation, etc. ) to a planned and paid ride / tour can be discussed either in advance or upon arrival.
4.3. All claims related to the Nürburgring opening and closing, schedule changes, and event cancelations are to be sent directly to the Nürburgring ( Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG ).
5 | GIFT CERTIFICATES
5.1. The customer may purchase gift certificates for a ride on the Nürburgring ( hot laps taxi, tour, car rental, briefing, track day, transfer, etc. ) from the organiser pursuant to the general booking and service provision regulations.
5.2. To order a Fastabast Gift Certificate, the client / customer needs to send a request via e-mail to the organiser specifying the following details:
- Invoice recipient ( full name, address of a natural person or company and legal entity )
- Certificate recipient ( full name, address of a natural person or company and legal entity )
- Services required and order amount ( hot laps taxi, tour, car rental, briefing, track day, transfer, etc. )
5.3. A gift certificate is valid until the end of following year. For instance, gift certificates purchased during 2020 are valid until the 31st of December 2021. A gift certificate may only be used once during its validity period, and must be used during Nürburgring season.
5.4. Nürburgring season varies per year, but ranges from approximately April to November. Please plan your ride in advance to avoid unexpected and unpleasant situations. We urge customers to check weather schedules prior to booking in order to receive the best possible experience.
5.5. Once the payment is confirmed / credited, the electronic certificate ( in .PDF format ) will be sent to the client / customer’s e-mail address within 3 hours.
6 | WEATHER
6.1. Rides may be conducted in dry or rainy weather. The customer / client is entitled to cancel their ride in the case of inclement weather conditions, due to their anxiety, medical conditions, or other reasons. If the customer / client cancels his/her ride due to weather ( rain, fog, wet road surface ) or medical conditions, the ride / tour cost will not be subject to any refund. Upon special agreement with the organiser, rides may be rescheduled for any other day, schedule permitting. Rain, fog, and high wind are considered normal weather that the organiser cannot influence.
7 | PERSONAL DATA
7.1. The client / customer agrees that their personal data ( full name, address, passport number, driver’s license number for car rental, e-mail address ) will be recorded in the general customer database of the organiser. In case of a conflict between the organiser and the customer / client, the company is entitled to use the client’s personal data.
8 | CONSENT AND BOOKING
8.1. The client / customer’s acceptance of the above regulations is confirmed by the booking of rides / tours and a 50-100% advance payment to the organiser’s specified account. By making an advance payment, the customer / client hereby confirms his / her consent to the above regulations and undertakes to comply with them.
